JUVINILE AUDITIONS
SATURDAY 4TH FEBRUARY 2012 at 10am
ROBERT STEWART MEMORIAL CHURCH, WINGROVE ROAD, FENHAM
Newcastle Musical Theatre Company is looking for some especially gifted girls to play the parts of the orphans and Annie in their 2012 production of Annie!
There will be an open audition to be held at 10am on Saturday 4th February 2012 at the Robert Stewart Memorial Church Hall, Wingrove Road, Fenham, where two teams of 14 girls will be provided with an initial audition.
Annie should be about 11-12 years old, not more than 5 foot tall. She should be an outgoing character, have good strong singing voice and be able to project across a room when acting scenes. A little dance experience would be valuable. A bonus would be to have red hair and freckles, but a wig can be provided for performances if this is not the case.
The other named roles being cast are as follows:
Molly Age 8, a girl with a small frame.
Kate Age 8, the next smallest of the girls.
Tessie Age 9-11, the cry baby.
Pepper Age 10-14, the toughest of the orphans.
Duffy Age 12-15, the biggest and oldest of the orphans
July Age 12-14, the quietest of the girls.
Bearing in mind that this was an Orphanage in America in the 1930’s depression, all the girls should be slight in stature
This is an amazing opportunity for any youngster with a love of theatre or wanting a career in the industry. Working with the Newcastle’s premier musical theatre company at The Theatre Royal, the North East’s number one venue is not to be missed.
